Membership
Would you like to become part of the GEN-Suisse network as a community, ecovillage or individual?
As a member, you strengthen the growing field of the community movement, make valuable contacts and contribute to a positive future. With your time and energy, you can actively contribute to change at GEN-Suisse in a variety of ways.
As a Swiss network, we have decided to actively contribute to the common vision of a worldwide alliance of urban and rural intentional communities, transformation projects and ecovillages. It is the vision of a humane, peaceful and sustainable world.
Our nationwide network, based on membership and legally organised as an association, is embedded as a member of GEN-Europe.
Individual members are also welcome who are committed to change and want to be involved in the work, knowing that together it is easier and more efficient.
As a member
- be part of a network in which communities and projects as well as committed individuals endeavour to live and anchor the common vision of a humane, peaceful and grandchild-friendly world in everyday life
- contribute to strengthening the Swiss network – we also call it the “community of communities”
- attend the annual general meeting with spring festival and the summer camp conference
- use the gen-suisse.ch website as a platform for exchange between members with information, events and a marketplace
- get involved in the coordination team and working groups
Candidate member – Full member
Ecovillages and eco-friendly, intentional communities form the heart of our network. After submitting their membership application, they can be confirmed by the General Assembly in the spring and receive the status of candidate member. After a year of getting to know each other, they have the option of switching to full member status at the General Assembly. The annual membership fee is CHF 100 – 1000.
Shared flat or family membership
At least three people who live together, consciously organise their life together through community processes and live the five dimensions of sustainability. The annual membership fee is between CHF 60 – 1000, depending on your own assessment. As with all other types of membership, you are welcome to join our working groups and can take part in our events at a reduced rate.
Individual membership
We invite people aged 18 and over who are interested in system change and want to make a contribution. We welcome you to join one of our working groups and attend our events. The annual membership fee is CHF 25 – 100.
Benefactor members
Individuals, transformation projects, institutions and companies that support the network with an annual financial contribution contribute to the realisation of GEN-Suisse projects. By transferring your chosen annual donation of CHF 100 or more, you become a GEN-Suisse benefactor member. Thank you very much in advance!
